This is a vintage True Temper Kelly Perfect single-bit axe head featuring the distinctive raised phantom bevels associated with the Kelly Perfect line.

The surviving maker’s stamp reads TRUE TEMPER / KELLY PERFECT. The mark is worn but visible; a specially lit black-and-white close-up is included in the photos to document it clearly.

This example is being sold as a head only. It was acquired with an old, compromised handle that had been reinforced with numerous nails driven into the eye as makeshift wedges. Rather than conceal those problems beneath another repair, the old handle was removed completely.
