A vintage masonry pointing trowel with a forged steel blade and original wood handle. The tool has been cleaned and stabilized while preserving its aged working patina. A great piece for display in a workshop or for light masonry use.

Detailed Description

This vintage pointing trowel features a forged steel blade with a riveted shank and an original turned wood handle. Tools like this were standard equipment for masons and bricklayers throughout the mid-20th century. The blade has been carefully cleaned and stabilized while preserving the natural wear and patina that comes from decades of use. Areas of darker and orange-brown oxidation remain visible on the steel as part of the tool’s aged surface, but the metal has been treated and sealed so the surface is stable. The original wooden handle remains solid and comfortable in the hand. A small hairline crack near the ferrule has been stabilized to ensure the handle remains secure. This tool displays beautifully in a workshop, tool wall, or farmhouse setting and can still serve for light masonry or garden tasks. Every tool from my shop includes a printed vintage tool care sheet.
