Detailed description
Tool details
Vintage Disston pointing trowel with ferrule-stamped maker mark and original turned wood handle. The blade has a classic pointed masonry form and measures roughly 12 inches overall based on the ruler photos. Disston catalogs offered dedicated pointing trowels, and ferrule-marked examples are consistent with older American trade trowels.
Condition
Good vintage condition with visible age, dark patina, staining, and cosmetic surface wear from real use. The blade remains nicely shaped with no obvious major chips or bends visible in the photos. Handle is solid with normal wear and grain texture from age and use. Ferrule stamp remains readable.
Restoration performed
Cleaned old mortar residue from the heel area, cleaned and stabilized the metal surface, lightly sanded the handle, and protected the tool for display or continued careful use.
Ideal use
Good for masonry tool collectors, old tool displays, rustic workshop decor, prop styling, or light careful use by someone who appreciates vintage trade tools.
Shipping info
Ships packed carefully with blade protected and handle supported. A printed care sheet is included with the tool.
