Condition

Structurally sound: shaft is straight with no bends, twists, or repairs.
Spinning head and center handle both rotate freely.
1/2” drive anvil is square with normal edge wear; sockets fit properly and detent engages.
Finish shows even wear, fine pitting, and plating loss from decades of use—an “honest” working patina rather than a high-polish restoration.
Stamping is still legible along the shank (see close-up photo).

Restoration work performed

This tool was cleaned and stabilized, not over-restored: 1. Cleaning: Hand cleaned with WD-40 and 3M abrasive pads to remove active rust and shop grime while preserving the remaining original finish and the Bonney stamp. 2. Lubrication: Moving parts (spinning head, center handle, and drive end) were oiled with mineral oil and Hoppes, then worked through their full range of motion. 3. Protection: Wiped back and finished with a thin coat of paste wax for a dry, satin feel and improved rust resistance.

No sockets or accessories are included—speed wrench only.
