Vintage Rocky Mountain Pac-Saw

A compact American-made pack saw designed for hunting, camping, backpacking, and general outdoor use. The folding metal handle is clearly marked ROCKY MT. / DUBOIS / Pat. on one side and PAC-SAW / WYO. / Pend. on the other. This example includes its original brown leather Rocky Mountain sheath with belt loop, snap closure, and embossed mountain logo.

Condition

This is a used vintage outdoor tool and retains substantial evidence of its working life. The blade has been cleaned and active surface rust removed, but intentionally retains dark staining, oxidation marks, patina, scratches, and areas of discoloration. There is some surface pitting consistent with age and previous use. Both tooth patterns remain intact and functional. The teeth were not resharpened or reprofiled because the saw cuts effectively as found after cleaning. The coarse edge was function-tested on approximately 3/4" branch stock and cut readily. The folding handle operates properly and retains clear original Rocky Mountain, Dubois, Wyoming, Pac-Saw, and patent-pending markings. The original leather sheath shows scratches, stains, darkened areas, edge wear, and general age-related wear. Stitching, belt loop, snap, and retaining loops remain intact. The original embossed Rocky Mountain logo remains clearly visible. Please review all photographs closely; they form an important part of the condition description.
