Detailed description

Offered here is a vintage Parplus bench plane with original wood tote and front knob, Parplus-marked iron, and a body cast “MADE IN U.S.A.” with a circled U foundry/casting mark and 6. Parplus planes of this pressed-steel-frog type are generally associated with production for Metal Products Co. of West Haven, Connecticut, in the 1925–1940 range.

This plane presents as a clean, complete, user-grade example. The body has been cleaned and preserved rather than over-polished, the sole shows even use and light age marks, and the original wood handle and knob remain in place with visible finish wear and age character. The Parplus logo is visible on the iron.

Restoration work performed includes cleaning, rust and grime reduction, sharpening/tuning work, and a light protective finish so the plane is stable for collection, display, or light shop use. This is a restored vintage user tool. A printed care sheet will be included with the order.

Ideal for a woodworker who wants an affordable vintage bench plane, or for display in a shop, office, or tool collection. This one has strong visual appeal with the dark body, original wood, and clearly visible Parplus branding.

Shipping note: ships well padded, with the cutter secured so it cannot shift in transit, buyer will receive the exact plane shown.
