Vintage Stanley Bailey No. 4 hand plane, marked Made in England, restored as a practical user-grade smoothing plane rather than over-polished for display. This one has the classic Bailey form with original wood tote and front knob, black-finished body, red-filled Stanley lever cap, brass depth adjuster, and clear maker markings.

The plane has been cleaned, lightly de-rusted, tuned, sharpened, and test-set for use. The sole presents clean and serviceable with visible prior use and light remaining staining/patina. The wood shows honest age and handling wear, including finish loss and scratches, but remains solid and comfortable in hand. Lever cap logo fill remains visible, and the internal adjustment hardware is present and working.
