UNUSED / NEW OLD STOCK — eBay requires a New or Used selection in this category. The original box has been opened, so I selected Used even though the plane itself shows no evidence of use.

Condition

Open box / appears unused. This Stanley Sweetheart No. 60-1/2 retains its factory oil and shows no evidence I can find of having been put into service. The A2 iron retains its original factory grind and markings. Includes original box, instructions and packing material. The plane itself is exceptionally clean. Box has shelf/storage wear, with more wear to the brown inner/lower cardboard tray. Please review all photos for exact condition.

Description

Stanley Sweetheart SW No. 60-1/2 Low Angle Block Plane, model 12-139, in exceptional apparently unused/new-old-stock condition.

I acquired this plane still in its original packaging. After inspection, I found no evidence that it had been sharpened, lapped or used. It still had factory oil present, so I intentionally left the plane in its original condition rather than sharpening, polishing, waxing or otherwise tuning it.

The iron is the original Stanley 12-143 A2 blade, factory marked 25°. Stanley specifies this model with a 1/8” thick A2 iron, 12° low-angle bed, precision-ground ductile cast-iron base, adjustable mouth, Norris-type adjustment with lateral locking, and solid brass hardware.
