Vintage Cast Iron Gutter End Cap Form

Vintage cast iron gutter end cap form with a 5-inch profile. Pattern 3032. Cleaned and stabilized with original green paint intact. A unique tinsmithing tool that also makes excellent industrial decor or a heavy desk paperweight.

This is a genuine vintage cast iron gutter end cap form used by tinsmiths and sheet metal workers to shape decorative gutter end caps. Sheet metal would be formed over the profiled face and worked with a mallet to create an end cap matching the gutter profile.

The interior is cast with Pattern No. 3032 and 5 IN, indicating the pattern number and 5-inch profile size. No maker mark is present, which is not uncommon for early trade tools sold through sheet metal and roofing supply houses.

This piece has been cleaned by hand and stabilized, not stripped or refinished. Surface rust was carefully removed while preserving the original green paint, honest wear, and aged patina. It has been treated with Ballistol and finished with paste wax, leaving the surface clean, dry to the touch, and ready for display.
